Standardbred Canada announced the winners of the 2023 O’Brien Awards, honouring Canada’s best in harness racing over the past season, at the Black Tie Gala in Charlottetown, P.E.I. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024. 

After another standout campaign in 2023, it’s only fitting that two-time Canadian champion pacing mare So Much More is a finalist for national honours yet again. And it couldn’t be more fitting this time with the O’Brien Awards returning to her native P.E.I. for the 35th anniversary edition.

A year-end rivalry resumed in the Fillies & Mares Preferred pacing ranks at Woodbine Mohawk Park with So Much More coming out on top in the final edition of the year on Friday, Dec. 29.

So Much More fought off a pair of fellow O'Brien Award winners in a deep stretch duel to win Friday night's $36,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
