The groundwater around Arizona s U.S. Air Force bases has been contaminated by the chemicals found in a type of firefighting foam used on base. The chemicals, perfluorooctane sulfonate, or PFOS, and perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA, were found in West Valley drinking water near Luke Air Force Base. ....
