Sue C. Allison WEIRTON, W.Va. Sue C. Allison, 84, of Chester, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Weirton Medical Center, following COVID-related complications. Family has been grateful for the Fox staff and residents, especially at Pepperberry Suites where she received fine personal care. Born June 15, 1936, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Cleo and Ruth Schaffer Linger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen T. Allison (Thayer); sons, Vincent Thayer and Stephen Paul Allison; great-nephew, Marcus Murray. Sue was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1954. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and a minor in music from West Liberty University. Sue retired from the Hancock County School system after 43 years of service. She had an incredible passion for public education and enjoyed a long and distinguished career, often remarking, “I think I taught every child in the county! ....
