Reply (Office of the Governor) NEW JERSEY – Gov. Phil Murphy has signed 11 more New Jersey bills into law, giving people property tax breaks if they shop local. The new law allows municipalities to create a property tax reward program for residents who patronize local merchants. "By encouraging people to shop locally we are helping to rebuild our main streets and small business communities," said Assemblyman Ron Dancer, R-Ocean.
