A prayer bench used by the Rev. Mychal Judge, a Fire Department of New York chaplain killed in the collapse of the World Trade Center towers Sept. 11, 2001, was driven from Rising Sun to the New York area Sunday to join the collection of the Sept. 11 Memorial and Museum, museum officials said.
The Franciscan friar was the first certified victim of the disaster after he rushed to the World Trade Center when the first plane smashed into the North Tower.

Rev. Mychal Judge, a Fransiscan who was praying in the lobby of the trade center’s north tower when he was crushed by debris from the falling south tower, used to visit a home in Maryland and use the bench for prayer.
