Bernard LaClair had robbed at least nine banks in Indiana, Ohio, Connecticut and Massachusetts. He was captured while picking his kids up from school in Fort Wayne, but that's just the start of a tale that includes a teddy bear stuffed with cash, loot hidden under a hospital bed, multiple attempts to escape prison and time served at Alcatraz.
