After being studied in Cincinnati, AstraZeneca is about to be the fourth vaccine to apply to the FDA for emergency use.AstraZeneca was studied at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, among other sites, and was found to have an efficacy of 82%.Since the efficacy is over the minimum target, some believe that number may not be as important as the number of vaccines potentially available soon. “I’m looking at the next few weeks, we will have four vaccines that are available in the community to get us out of this pandemic,” said Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Dr. Robert Frenck.Frenck worked on the AstraZeneca study, which enrolled 503 people in Cincinnati. LAHORE: Improving the economy has always been an uphill task for each government that assumed power in the last three decades. This government is no exception, as the basic flaws in the economy have not been addressed even now.
We are not a growth-based economy. In fact growth has never been the top priority of any government in Pakistan. Each was interested in increasing revenues by any means. Instead of increasing revenues based on the capacity of the population, each government resorted to regressive taxation.
The concept of consumer tax introduced in the 1980s provided each government to exploit the consumers at will. The consumption tax or the general sales tax in Pakistan is 17 percent. This rate is higher than the rate at which most corporate executives pay their income tax. ....

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Researchers at the University of Arizona are working to develop a smartphone COVID-19 test, with test results within minutes.
“It’s extremely sensitive. It takes less than ten minutes,” said University of Arizona Professor Dr. Kelly Reynolds.
Reynolds said aside from a smartphone, everything you need to run the COVID-19 test costs less than $100.
Reynolds said the real beauty of this test is in its simplicity.
It is similar to a pregnancy test, but you use your saliva as the liquid. You put your saliva on the microfluidic chip, which is loaded with certain reagents that react to the COVID-19 virus. ....
