"The Wet–Dry Cycling Corrosion Behavior of Low-Carbon Medium Manganese " by Guanqiao Su, Cansheng Yu et al.

This work utilizes wet–dry cycle corrosion tests to investigate the corrosion behavior of medium manganese steel by analyzing its corrosion kinetics, corrosion phases, surface morphology, cross-section morphology, elemental distribution and electrochemical characteristics. The corrosion process was divided into two stages, and the change is due to the unique transformation of corrosion products. The mixture of β-FeOOH and MnO2 in the corrosion product up to 72 h causes an increase in redox ability and electronic transmission rate and enlarges the specific surface in the initial corrosion pr...

Search Minerals Completes Zirconium Recovery Testing at SGS Canada Inc. - Vimarsana News

Search Minerals Completes Zirconium Recovery Testing at SGS Canada Inc.

These results showed that (1) iron could be rejected by LIMS, (2) the REE’s could be concentrated by WHMIS and (3) the zircon could be floated to produce a 43% ZrO2 concentrate. This is equivalent to a 64% Zircon concentrate (ZrSiO4) SGS commented in their report, “Overall, the results obtained in this test work program were quite promising and further test work is recommended to optimize the flowsheet developed to produce zircon, REE, and magnetite concentrates. Given that only five flotation tests were carried out in this program, there remains significant potential to improve flotat...
