(The Center Square) – There could soon be more livestock and larger blue ribbon checks at Wisconsin’s local fairs.
The Elroy Fair finished its 126th year on Sunday afternoon in the city. Area farm animals, regular food vendors, and a few new additions rounded out the longtime city tradition.
The 126th annual Elroy Fair was between June 21 and 26 at the fairgrounds on the south side of the city.
The state of Wisconsin wants to stop paying people who win multiple prizes at multiple county or district fairs.
While some gatherings may look different in 2021, farm hosts and dairy promotion groups have labored to provide a way to celebrate June Dairy Month.
