The Encinitas Historical Society in partnership with the City of Encinitas proudly presents the 29th annual lighting of the Encinitas Heritage Tree. The event, free to the public, will be held at the upper parking lot at Moonlight Beach on Friday, December 1 from 4-6 p.m. Parking is free with an additional free shuttle service from nearby Cottonwood Park by Moke.The Tree Lighting program will feature live music and holiday carols by the San Diego North Coast Singers and three “EnSINGnitas” children’s choirs, including The El Camino Creek Elementary School Choir, The Parkdale Lane Elementary School Choir, and The Mission Estancia Elementary School Choir. Opening the show with a medley of holiday classics will be Free Verse, a local favorite band.EnSINGnitas is a new program sponsored by the Encinitas Educational Foundation, a 501.c.3 nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing back singing and music to our local elementary schools.There will also be a special appearance directly
