UK Spring Career Fairs: Virtual Career Networking for BBN

The virtual career fairs offer an important opportunity for students and alumni to network and personally connect with employers.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 8, 2021) — Next week, the University of Kentucky will offer students and recent alumni an opportunity to connect with more than 150 employers in the spring semester virtual career fair series. The Engineering, Computer Science and STEM Virtual Career Fair will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, and the Business, Communications, Liberal Arts and All Majors Virtual Career Fair will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17.
Both career fairs will be hosted through UK’s Handshake career management platform. Students and alumni are strongly encouraged to register now and sign up in advance for individual and group sessions with participating employers. The virtual career fairs offer an important opportunity to network and personally connect with employers. These opportunities are especially important during a time of high national and state unemployment, when many companies have cut back on hiring for interns and new graduates. Employers are interested in connecting with students from all academic majors, and they’re eager to share information with students about internships, co-ops and job opportunities, so students from all class years are encouraged to consider attending.
