Though the city Medical Examiner ruled Neely’s death a homicide Wednesday evening, Adams and Hochul have not called for the U.S. Marine’s arrest, prompting criticism.

Mayor Adams plans to depart Wednesday for the 2022 Mayors Summit Against Antisemitism, which is being held in Athens. After that, he’ll jet to Doha, Qatar — a trip his public schedule describes as “intended to learn more about the 2022 World Cup” — given that New York City and New Jersey will serve as hosts to the event in 2026.
