April 28, 2021 763 NEWPORT, R.I. – Susan Marie Fitzgerald passed away peacefully on April 26, 2021, after a hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 78. Born in Seymour, Conn., on April 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anne Henninger. After graduating from Notre Dame Academy in Waterbury, Conn., her adventurous spirit took her to Washington, D.C., where she gained employment in an art gallery and was an active volunteer with the Barry Goldwater Campaign.
