Late-afternoon menus the answer for off-hour hunger pangs
But free-standing island eateries recently have added them. At Almond on Royal Poinciana Way, a late afternoon menu debuted this season, in part in response to the pandemic but also to test the waters, co-owner Eric Lemonides said. Available from 3 to 5 p.m., the menu is called “Inbetweenskis” and has been popular with diners who favor the restaurant’s covered patio. It features 15 items, including raw bar fare, escargots, Greek salad, lamb meatballs and moules frites.
