The Santa Clara County jail. And it has just been released. Take a good look here. The Sheriffs Office says the fight broke out this afternoon in the maximum security housing unit of the downtown san jose jail. We first told you about the melee on abc 7 news at 4 00. The unit is still in lockdown mode this evening. Inmates are being ordered to stay in their cells. Sheriff laurie smith says no guards were hurt trying to break up this fight.
