Buena Vista house fire leaves one man dead, police say Updated Dec 12, 2020; A 35-year-old man died in a house fire late Friday in Atlantic County, authorities said. Eric Spellman was removed from his burning home on Unexpected Road in Buena Vista Township after state troopers were called around 10:35 p.m. for the report of a fire, State Police said. Spellman was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said an initial investigation indicated the fire was accidental. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
