Belgian authorities have arrested individuals suspected of planning attacks against police offices and the mayor of Antwerp, Bart De Wever. The suspects, who had become radicalised, were motivated by the ban on the wearing of signs by public administration staff in Antwerp. The federal prosecutor's office confirmed that the terrorist group planned to liquidate the Flemish nationalist elected official but added that there was no fixed date or hour for the attack.
