Grand jury hears case on felonious assault, among others | News, Sports, Jobs
mnewbanks@mariettatimes.com Gross sexual imposition and felonious assault were just two of the offenses brought before the Washington County Grand Jury this week. Jason Dean Lanning, 37, of 105 Melody Lane, Marietta, was indicted on two counts of felonious assault, both second-degree felonies, after he allegedly pistol whipped a man and tried to run him over with a vehicle. According to Marietta Police reports, units were dispatched Nov. 18 to 840 Pike St., Sierra Apartments, in reference to an assault. Contact was made with the victims and other witnesses.
