WITH the start of a new year, I thought I would take a look back at some of my previous submissions regarding the history of Didcot. Archaeological digs indicate evidence of Iron Age and Romano-British occupation in the area. A Saxon settlement named Wibaldston was recorded in the Domesday register of 1086.
