Should want to pursue, but i agree with dan, i think it s really hard to tell. and particularly when we re in a state where we re not having this testimony test under cross-examination. paul: kim, briefly, is this this a eroding support? never mind the legal point, but is this eroding political support in the minds of some voters for donald rumpsome. possibly although, paul, i really believe that most voters had the large outline of what went on within a couple of weeks of this actually happening, and they formed their impresses then. there could impressions then. there could be a few people on the margins still the undecided, and this might influence hem. but it was largely there, and then you add in that people are more focused on inflation and the economy, i m not quite sure this is going to be in any way definitive. paul: all right, thanks, all. when we come back, the school choice movement gains momentum as more and more parents grow weary of public schools. our panel weighs i ....

He faces eroding support among independents. in atlanta, i sat down with biden voters who did not vote democratic in 2016. leaning into the argument about elections and election fair innocence either direction turns me off. what could biden right now to make you feel less reluctant. we have a lot of problem, high inflation, supply chain issues. the economy and jobs is the top issues for voters replacing covid-19. republicans have a 33 point average, driven by gains among independents. while job creation is up and the unemployment rate is down, 61% say their family income is falling behind the cost of living. it s almost $400 just to go to the grocery store for three people. i mean that s insane. 70% say america has become so polarized that the federal government can no longer save the major issues facing this country. that s up a whopping 34 points from a decade ago. 24% say biden has done a good job unites the country. ....

Of, that an imminent invasion would bring, an actual invasion, but the political destabilization that is already happening on the ground in ukraine as a result of this crisis. and this is something that president putin is actively trying to foment. eroding support for zelensky s government, trying to make them appear weak, i timpotent and tht is why we are seeing the strident tones in ways we haven t seen before. they want to take control of the narrative on the ground and show that they are not, that they are unflappable, if you will. that they are not going to allow themselves to get hysterical or panicked by this whole situation. that s an important image for ukrainians. stick around as we await to hear from president biden. and he is expected to speak from the white house, addressing the world about the possibility of a ....

All those stimulus checks people got. they ve already kind of forgotten them as biden s numbers are softening. nancy pelosi, chuck schumer, the dnc, have given people marching orders. when they go home for august recess, they are all supposed to be holding events about what they have already done. and they ve tried to slim it down. don t go home with like the 48-point democratic vintage things. instead it s we re cutting your taxes because of child tax cr credit, we re building roads and bridges and lower health care costs. keep it simple. go ahead. the polling data, people feel really good about the job market right now. it s kind of a shocker. the thing that s eroding support is inflation. 15%. the 95% of americans who kept their jobs, they re paying more for air fares, cars, seeing rents go up. every company is complaining about shortages of metal, ....

Morning. thanks to you both. i appreciate those live reports. i want to bring in former democratic congressman, new director of the cornell university of politics and global affairs and former republican congressman david jolly also joins us. lots to discuss here. and let me start with you, congressman jolly. what does it tell you that jeff van drew feels the need to defect over to the republicans now over this vote? well, he s clearly conflicted and, hallie, one of the results of the 2018 election is you have 30 plus democrats who now hold districts that are trump-leaning districts. and van drew is in one of those. 90% of the districts in the congress, as steve knows, are preordained for one party other the other. there s a handful of 30 or 40 districts that are the majority makers. and unfortunately, van drew deciding that he could not support impeachment, he saw eroding support among democrats and kind of had nowhere to go. and going into the next election ....
