Yossi Ron, the last remnant of his family, embodies the Jewish story of exile, destruction and rebirth. Ron is one of the 47 orphans from Kfar Etzion, a town in the hills of Judea that was destroyed by the Arabs in Israel’s War of Independence, its defenders massacred by the marauding Arabs.

“We provide all 31 Warm Corners with a budget for supplies, and our volunteers purchase food, drinks, to fill up the fridges inside the Warm Corners so it’s a win-win.”

At “Warm Corners” canteens operated throughout the country by Yashar LaChayal (“Direct to the Soldier”) volunteers provide IDF soldiers the opportunity to grab a cold drink or take a load off.
