Europe rethinks its reliance on burning wood for electricity

Officials expect the new rules to extend the lifespan of many products by up to 10 years. They hope the change will help Boris Johnson’s drive to reduce carbon emissions throughout the country in the effort to tackle climate change. At present, around 1.5million tonnes of electrical waste is generated in the UK every year.
