Food drive set June 2 May 28, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail GODFREY — The Women’s Fellowship of Evangelical United Church of Christ will conduct a drive-up food collection benefiting the Crisis Food Center, 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, June 2. Donations of canned or boxed food items may be brought to the upper, front circle drive of the church at 1212 W. Homer Adams Parkway, Godfrey, where volunteers will receive donations from your vehicle. Especially useful food gifts include peanut butter, jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, canned spaghetti sauce and ravioli, macaroni & cheese, breakfast bars, boxed cereals and healthy snacks. Gebelein, Gonzalez honored by Rotary The Telegraph FacebookTwitterEmail 5of5 ALTON — Hallie Gebelein of Alton High School and Hunter Gonzalez of Marquette Catholic High School have been named Students of the Month of December 2020 by the Alton-Godfrey Rotary Club. Because of the Covid-19 cases in the area, the club has chosen to suspend meetings for a short time but is not suspending honoring deserving students from our high schools. Gebelein, the daughter of Brian and Paula Gebelein of Godfrey, is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and has a grade point average of 4.259 on a 4.0 scale. She is currently making straight A’s again this semester. She has taken a number of honors, dual credit and AP classes.
