On Sunday, TheatreFirst on Shattuck Avenue put on its closing performance of Marisela Treviño Orta’s “WMB,” the last show the Berkeley-based theater company will put on before its closure at the end of September.
Company hopes new talks with Berkeley officials can find a way to keep the company afloat.
“We don’t want to bleed for our art; we want to make art, and we want to be happy and compensated,” said Cutting Ball Theater Community and Education Director Cathryn Cooper.
