Cabinet papers outline Australian security concerns prior to Sydney 2000
Sunday, 3 January 2021 Australian cabinet papers have revealed security concerns heading into the Sydney 2000 Olympics largely centred on the possibility of a team being taken hostage at the Games. The National Archives of Australia has released cabinet papers from August 2000, entitled Progress of Commonwealth Security Preparations.
