The King Alfred Leisure Centre, known then as Hove Marina, was completed in 1939. Many residents young and old will have fond memories of learning to swim at the pool in the building on Hove seafront. But more than 80 years after its war-time opening, the building is now in an ever-increasing state of disrepair.
