Former U.S. Olympic swimmer Klete Keller was sentenced Friday for his participation in the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
Klete Keller avoided prison time on Friday after being sentenced to three years of probation and six months of home detention for storming the U.S. Capitol.
"Klete Derik Keller once wore the American flag as an Olympian," prosecutors said. "On January 6, 2021, he threw that flag in a trash can."
