joining us on the phone heather cobbler with the colorado police. if you can, tell us exactly how they were spotted and how they were taken into custody. well, good morning, first of all. these three suspects were taken into custody after what was about a 20-mile high-speed pursuit. initially this morning a witness said they spotted somebody that matched the description of who we were looking for, and troopers in the area tried to initiate contact on i-25 south of pueblo. it was then they fled and crashed. the three of them were considered armed and dangerous. any word on injuries or a shoot-out? during the pursuit, there were shots fired at law enforcement from the suspects. no law enforcement was injured. were any of the suspects injured? i don t know, we are checking on that. right now we have medical personnel on scene, and at least one party is being transported to a medical facility. heather, do you know if any weapons were recovered in their vehicle ....

at least for the moment. stocks bounced back in early trading today, after monday s 634-point plunge. right now, dow blue chips are up by 201 points. investors are psyched over today s fed meeting, and there s speculation it might announce a new stimulus. to boost the economy. president obama sits down with treasury secretary timothy geithner. that s happening this afternoon. they re going to size out the new market turmoil that is fearing that is fully feeding fear of double-dip recession. the president is promising to help a special congressional commission find a long-term fix for the finances. i intend to present my own recommendations over the coming weeks, on how we should proceed. and that committee will have this administration s full cooperation. and i assure you, we will stay on it until we get the job done. so, congress has to appoint the commission by next tuesday. that is just a week from today. the six democrats, and six republicans will have until ....

for post august 2nd if no plan is agreed to. if the treasury couldn t meet its obligations, a bill being circulated would prioritize payments, social security checks and paychecks for troops. everything else would be covered if possible with cash on hand or put off until we can take on more debt. two main default avoidance plans remain on the table right now. speaker boehner s plan would raise the debt ceiling twice, this year and next, with spending cuts now and an election year overhaul of the tax code and entitlements. in the senate, majority leader reid is pushing $2.7 trillion in spending cuts with a $2.4 trillion hike in the debt ceiling. reid s plan would not include tax increases, nor touch entitlements, nor require any follow-up votes in 2012. all right. i m going to stop talking right now because we want to hear from you today. you have heard the speeches, the pitches, the accusations, denials and doomsday predictions. what do you make of it all? we sent camer ....
