Israeli forces killed another Hamas commander on Wednesday in their second strike on Gaza's Jabalia refugee camp in two days, the military said, as the first group of civilian evacuees from the besieged enclave crossed into Egypt.
At least 320 of 500 foreign nationals named in a spreadsheet of people approved to enter Egypt, as well as injured Gazans, have made the crossing.
The fighting between rival factions inside Ain al-Hilweh had been ongoing for five days, with the Lebanese army threatening to take action after some of its military bases were hit by rockets.
Renewed clashes are taking place in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese army has closed all entrances to the camp and roads leading to it. Palestinian-Lebanese contacts took place during the past hours to contain the clashes and reach a ceasefire. The clashes, which began last Saturday, resulted in the death of 9 people, including the head of the Palestinian National Security in the camp, Abu Ashraf al-Armouchi and 4 of his companions.
