At least one intoxicated individual was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, according to police. Further charges relating to violations of COVID-related gathering restrictions are likely, police said. Per state rules, indoor gatherings are limited to 10 people, while outdoor gatherings are limited to 25 people. The gatherings limit applies to private homes, event venues and public spaces. New Year's Eve party in Duxbury leads to charge against 18-year-old
Wicked Local DUXBURY – A New Year’s Eve house party apparently hosted by a Duxbury 18-year-old has led to his being charged with furnishing alcohol to minors and he will likely face further charges for COVID-related gathering violations, police said. Duxbury Police said they were summoned to a disturbance on Federal Eagle Road at approximately 10:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Upon arrival officers discovered a house party with numerous teenagers, from several south shore communities, in attendance, police said. The party was dispersed and 17 individuals were identified.
