Twin Cedars And Melcher-Dallas Track Squads Hope To Get At Large Bids
The Twin Cedars Girls Track and Field Squad finished 8th at the class 1A State Qualifying Meet on Thursday. While the Sabers did not get any automatic qualifiers to state, Coach Cam Parker told KNIA/KRLS Sports that Rylee Dunkin could be at large in three events. She finished 2nd in the 3000, 3rd in the 1500, and 2nd in the 800. The Melcher-Dallas Track and Field Squads ran for spots at the state meet at Madrid on Thursday. The Twin Cedars Girls Track and Field Squad placed 6th at the Newton relays while the boys were 7th on Thursday. Cheyenne Bruns took 2nd in the 400 hurdles and the open 400, the Sabers also took 3rd in the 800 sprint medley relay.
