"It’s not done until it’s done and while there is a super majority, the Senate leader has a lot of power and can make the decision to not prioritize further limiting our ability to have abortions," said Stephanie Pineiro, executive director at Florida Access Network.

Doctors and advocates who help people access safe abortions say a 6-week ban may as well be a total ban. They say it will hurt women, trans and nonbinary people in Florida and around the Southeast.
With the procedure banned in 14 states, patients face added expenses for travel, lodging and child care. More of them are turning to charities for help.
