The plan could make Florida the tenth largest economy in the world by 2030. The goals of the initiative are to cut the number of children living in poverty by half while also 100% of Florida’s third-graders reading at or above their grade level. The chamber is also hoping to diversify the workplace. More than 800,000 children in Florida are living in poverty while less than 60% of third-graders are reading at grade level.
