The Oakland Police Commission on Tuesday released a list of four candidates for the city's next police chief, and none of them is from within the department.

The four candidates are Abdul Pridgen, the former chief in San Leandro; Floyd Mitchell, the former chief in Lubbock, Texas; Lisa Davis, the assistant chief in Cincinnati; and Louis Molina, who has served as a public safety official in New York since last fall.

Heidi Sue Yackle, age 32, of Everly was charged with theft form a building at approximately 1:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28. A Spirit Lake Police report indicated the incident took place the previous day in the 700 block of 16th Street in Spirit Lake. Robbie Loyd Mitchell, age 49, of Spirit Lake was charged with violation of a no contact order at approximately 2:10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29 in the 2600 block of Highway 9/71.
