Fluor UK operation reports £72m pre-tax loss

Fluor’s UK-registered company has reported a £72.4m pre-tax loss for 2019. The Fluor Ltd subsidiary of the Texas-based engineering and construction giant reported the loss for the year ending 31 December 2019 on revenue of £1.06bn. Half of its revenue (£530m) is generated in the UK, where it works in the energy, infrastructure and life science sectors. A spokesman declined to say whether the 2019 loss was linked to its work in the UK.
