South Korea and the United States plan to craft

North Korea praised its achievements in its missile and nuclear programs this year, Wednesday, while strengthening its anti-American sentiment. According to an article in the Rodong Sinmun, the official media outlet of the ruling Workers' Party, North Korea got off to a strong start in 2022 with the test-firing of a hypersonic missile, followed by months of other shocking developments including the launch of the Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), its strongest strategic weapon.

To finally abolish the long-standing North Korean nuclear threat, President Donald Trump eschewed the usual “bottom up” diplomatic approach in which negotiators arduously hammer out a complicated and detailed agreement before opposing leaders meet at a flashy summit. Instead, President Trump adopted a “top down” approach in which he and Kim Jong-un met in their first summit to establish a personal relationship and jump-start negotiations. However, to date, President Trump has been no more successful than his predecessors.

Kim Jong-un is in control of North Korea, the world’s most volatile nuclear power. If North Korea chooses to continue its aggressive policies, Washington and allies should be prepared to enact a list of policies designed to diminish the North Korean threat

The number of joint military exercises staged by the U.S. and the south Korean puppets from 1954 to 2013 is approximately 18 000, counting only those open to the media.
