Luke Mitchell, jailed for killing his girlfriend aged 14, claims his innocence from behind bars
A man who was convicted as a teenager of killing his 14-year-old girlfriend insists he has been 'locked up for a crime he didn't commit' in a new documentary re-examining the case. Luke Mitchell, 32, was 16 when he was sentenced to life in prison for the murder Jodi Jones, his girlfriend of four months, who was found stabbed, stripped and bound near her home in Easthouses, Midlothian in June 2003. Luke, who was 14 at the time of the murder, claims he was immediately singled out as the prime suspect in the case because he was the 'local weirdo' and has consistently denied killing Jodi.
