Scan.com, a London-based medical imaging startup that connects patients with scanning centers, has raised $12 million.
London and Atlanta-based diagnostic imaging platform Scan.com has raised a $12 million Series A round co-led by Aviva Ventures, YZR Capital, Oxford Capital, Triple Point Ventures and Simplyhealth Ventures, with participation from Forefront Venture Partners.
The Series A investment will enable the company to expand into five additional US states and secure enterprise contracts with payers and digital health
Scan.com aims to make medical imaging available to everyone. Across the UK and the US, it provides an appointment booking engine for patients, a gateway for referring doctors, and an API for digital health partners.
An important source of funding for startups is harder to come by, and while private loans are an alternative they’re much more expensive.
