The council looked at the proposed 2022 budget and property tax levy increasing $482,500 or 6.6% in 2022.
Baxter Public Works Director Trevor Walter agreed with Erickson but added without making the necessary changes to Highway 210 now, problems with the crossing at highways 210 and 371 would lead to its failure and be deemed unsafe by MNDOT, resulting in the creation of a possible bypass.

The city met with residents about plans to complete the Inglewood Drive connection in Baxter as another step toward creating an alternative to Highway 371 for residents in the belief that the “beltway” creates safer alternative routes than the main highways, although residents on Foley Road believed it was coming at the expense of their quiet neighborhood.
