Would recognize them. The counties, you never would. Gardner ran behind romney. It was a rural issue, not an acrosstheboard issue. The same thing is true in other places as well. Iowa, its less obvious but the same distinction prevails. Then the question is, what does this mean for 2016 if what were seeing is not a uniform swing but a localized swing . And is this a turnout question . Well, ive done two states, colorado and iowa, and colorado keeps moving up. But the differential, if you compare 2014 turnout to the 2012 turnout, is not very great. Its slightly higher as far as the percentage of people voting in rural areas versus urban areas, in 2014 versus 2012, but not enough to explain the difference. The reason joni ernst won is not because republicans were an unusual share of the electorate. The reason why cory gardner is the new senator from colorado is because he won persuadables and a few of them within the denver metro area, not because of massive turnout differentials. If tha ....

The transatlantic space to support ukraine. And i do think that our leadership in this is recognized. We are having as spirited a debate as is going on theres also a transatlantic debate so that question gets asked also in our diplomacy. But europeans come at it from both sides, depending upon where they sit. With regard to ukraine and the things that need to be done, and that has been appreciated, very much by my by most of us, i would have at this point significant difficulty coming to work each day with these decisions lingering and the way that they have and us, again, not taking the steps that that many people within the administration, as i understand it, feel needs to be taken. And yet we continue for some reason not to do those things that weve acted as if we might do. I have a number of other questions that ill send in writing. And i thank each of you for being here. I realize that in all cases, yall are messengers and not the ones that have these decision memos sitting on you ....

But look in the mirror and hate yourself, not the people who are doing this work. It is the job of these senators to question policy but attacks are thats what you do instead of dealing with the policy issues. We have have a very distinguished member with us, a good friend of all of us, someone who deals seriously with policy issues and is joined us today and that would be january from illinois. Also i think today of most significance i believe is my role on the Intelligence Committee. All of us were given a briefing based on emerging information from the Intelligence Committee. Susan rice, i do susan rice went on television based on the information that was available at the time and the briefing that she was given information and intelligence that she had no part in collecting. The kind of statement that is anyone who had been given those briefings would have ....

Near record levels, ship costs are soaring and budget cuts are coming. Admiral greenert, its an honor to have you on the program. Thank you for having me. What sequestration planning are you doing . I know youve been thinking about it for a long time and where are you going to cut if you have to come up with more money as almost everybody expects as part of a budget deal . Well, we still remain in a, if you will, a thinking phase. We will be given guidance on precisely where to take the reductions but its relatively clear. Military personnel has been exempt. Weve asked for that and we got that. Thats the right thing to do. Its sequestration is an algorithm. The deal is those directed cuts in every budget line and project. We may be given some leeway but if we are, i dont know what that is yet. That will be forth coming. The concern would be operations and paint nance. We want to be paint nance. We want to paint nance. We want to know that those are covered. Those getting ready to deplo ....
