Record was a Korean War veteran and a well-known member of the police department. Members of his family contacted former veterans service officer Paul Provencher and sought his assistance in possibly getting a sign designating the Four Corners area — the intersections of Center, North Main, South Main and Wareham streets — as Patrolman Norman E.
