Second generation owner Francoise Koster spoke to KTLA, bursting into tears when talking about the plight of her employees. Koster’s mother opened the French restaurant in 1969 and has been a Franklin Village favorite for over 50 years. Notable alumni include Johnny Ray Zone, who was the chef there before opening Howlin’s Ray’s. Koster launched a GoFundMe to raise $200,000 to help save the business and keep La Poubelle open for the future, once on-site dining becomes available again. Funds will go to employees, and other non-deferable expenses like insurance, mortgage, licenses, and loan repayments. ....
