More than 100 feet below the surface of Long Island Sound, Connecticut divers Steven Abbate and Joe Mazraani found what's believed to be the Defender submarine.
The head of the team that found it said they erupted in "pure joy." The Defender, an experimental submarine, was built in 1907 and later scuttled in the sound.
It was scuttled in 1946, but the government never disclosed where.
