The legal purgatory that many D.C.-based marijuana “gifting” dispensaries live in will likely end thanks to a new law that took effect last week.
The 10-day-long tax break started April 15 and ends April 24. Qualified patients can pick up their pot at a licensed medical marijuana dispensary tax-free.
Medical marijuana products purchased at any of D.C.'s seven licensed dispensaries will be exempt from the 6% sales tax.
