The Washington Post has tapped former Dow Jones boss William Lewis as its chief executive officer, ending a search for a new leader tasked with improving the newspaper's slumping business.
Lewis, 54, served as publisher of the Wall Street Journal and CEO of Dow Jones after a career in British media.

Lewis is set to take on his duties from Jan. 2, 2024, replacing Patty Stonesifer, who became interim chief executive in June.
