Many Canadians couldn’t wait to say goodbye to 2023 – in part, because of the sight of their pocketbooks. Across the country, people watched nervously as inflation and interest rates hit their home finances. But the Bank of Canada told us that the pain would be worth it. So, how much more hurt is left for us? Jim Stanford, an economist and the director of the Centre for Future Work, speaks with Piya Chattopadhyay about why he's cautiously optimistic that things will improve for Canadians in 2024.
