Stroke survivors share their stories to increase awareness of signs, symptoms
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every year more than 795,000 people in the United States have a stroke. In 2021, one in six deaths from cardiovascular disease was due to stroke. Kentucky has among the highest rates of stroke-related deaths in the country, with more 2,000 Kentuckians dying from stroke or stroke-related complications each year.
