Argument over Amish and being called racist may have led to fire death
CARROLLTON An argument over being called a racist and disagreement about the Amish apparently led to a Carroll County man dousing a housemate in gasoline, and setting him on fire, according to testimony during a court hearing Tuesday. Arlen A. Atkinson, 53, is charged with aggravated murder, aggravated arson, murder and felonious assault in the Jan. 24 death of Scot E. Hupp, 58.
