MINERVA  A Carroll County man has been charged with aggravated murder and aggravated arson in the death of a fellow group home resident whom investigators say was set on fire. Arlen A. Atkinson, 53, is accused of retrieving gasoline, dumping it on Scot E. Hupp, 58 and setting him on fire, said Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams. Williams said the two men both lived at a group home at Lilly and Bellflower roads NW in Brown Township. An argument at the group home led to the death, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies and firefighters were called at 5:36 p.m. Saturday to the home.
