The news that heater manufacturer Glen Dimplex’s Portadown site is to be shut down next year with the loss of 200 jobs has been described as “devastating” for workers and the local economy.
As part of a review of it's island wide operations, the company will relocate its sales and distribution arm GDI to Dunleer, but the manufacturing of flame products will be transferred from Dunleer to a long term partner in China.
